Open Garden Square Weekend 2013

Open Garden Square Weekend 2013

Like Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in the film Notting Hill, have you ever been curious to get into one of those private gated gardens that you see all around London? Well if so, this coming weekend there’s an event just for you.

Open Garden Square Weekend 2013 will see nearly 200 communal gardens across 27 London Boroughs opening their gates to the public. Organised in association with the National Trust, the event over Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June is not just limited to traditional garden squares, but will include roof terraces, allotments as well as private gardens owned by historic house, privates business, institutions and public buildings.

Highlights even include the gardens of Number 10 Downing Street, along with Eaton Square in Belgravia, Cable Street Community Gardens in Stepney, HMP Wormwood Scrubs in East Acton, Regent's Park allotment garden, the National Trust's Carlyle's House in Chelsea and The Royal College of Physicians' medicinal garden.bit.ly/11ePXpy
